Ans- Permanent settlement was started as the villagers started                                                                                   leaving the villages due to extra taxes. It was setup with following rules/terms-
v  Rajas & taluqdars were recognized as zamindars.
v  Amount to be collected was fixed permanently
v  Zamindars were responsible for collecting taxes.
2.   What was ryotwari settlement?
Farmer wise collection was known as ryotwari

3.   What was Mahlwari settlement ?
Village wise collection was known as Mahlwari system
